Collective Community Conversations
Collective Community Conversations
In the wake of the murder of George Floyd and the need for racial equity, NCCJ partnered with the Dayton Human Relations Council and the Gem City Market to hold community conversations. These conversations were designed to collect information related to racial equity from the community and make recommendations based upon that information. The conversations consisted of four topics, including:
- Self-Care During a Time of Crisis
- Racism as a Public Health Crisis
- Black Lives Matter
- Alternatives to Policing
The following document details the conversations and recommendations gathered from the voices of our community.
