Anytown Youth Leadership

Anytown Youth Leadership Institute is our Annual Summer program taking place over the span of one week. During the week, delegates (participants) from across the Miami Valley come together to engage in conversation and education about diversity, equity, and inclusion. At our institute, delegates spend time extensively participating in activities surrounding specific DEI issues. Delegates engage in activities around race, gender, ability/disability, class, allyship, and more. 

Anytown is an experiential program - we learn by doing. 

All Anytown staff members and volunteers are FBI/BCI background checked and trained to facilitate meaningful dialogue and experiences with the delegates. A majority of Anytown counselors are alumni of the program who are at least a year out of high school.

Delegates can attend one Anytown Retreat, and one Anytown Institute over their high school career.

Our summer 2025 Anytown Institute will be announced in the coming months.

Anytown Youth Leadership Retreat is our twice annual weekend long program taking place over a weekend each fall and spring. During the weekend, delegates (participants) from across the Miami Valley come together to engage in conversation and education about leadership and allyship. At our Retreat, activities focus specifically on building real life skills that can be used to inspire social change. Delegates engage in activities designed to shape our conflict management skills, and ability to express our beliefs and find commonality with others. Each delegate also has an opportunity to attend unique speakers discussing allyship topics ranging from social media, to policy and advocacy, to fundraising.
